6th Seal of Revelation Rapture of Church

The ‘sun-moon-stars’ events listed in Mathew 24: 29-31 (and Mark 13:24-27 & Luke 21:25) carry over to same events in Revelation 6:12-14. This links the scripture blocks together of a resurrection-rapture at the 6th seal (before the wrath) and in Jesus’ words “after the tribulation”. Each color denotes a common event.
Matthew 24:29-31 KJV – Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (31) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Revelation 6:12-17 KJV – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (13) And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. (14) And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (15) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (16) And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: (17) For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?…Revelation 7:9&14 KJV – After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;…(14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Who are the gathered elect?
The word elect is defined as those sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:2 KJV – Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ…
The gathered elect would include Christian and Messianic believers and even the sealed 144 thousand as in Revelation 7:3-9 (for the 144k later return with Jesus in Revelation 14:1). The resurrected are described as a great multitude “which no man could number” from all nationalities of people…
Revelation 7:9 KJV – After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
The Raptured Came Out of “Great Tribulation”
Jesus in Mathew 24:4-28 & Mark 13:5-23 describes a tribulation itinerary from a perspective of being centered at Jerusalem that accelerates to the ‘abomination of desolation’. Then Jesus says “after the tribulation” or “after that tribulation” as in Mark the elect will be gathered. The raptured are then seen in heaven described as “came out of great tribulation” (before the wrath) and are those washed white in the blood of the Lamb.
Matthew 24:21-22 KJV – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Revelation 7:14 KJV – And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
John 16:33 KJV – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
The word tribulation as used in the KJV is defined in other bible translations as; affliction, oppression, sorrow, distress, misery, trouble, suffering, persecution, testing and hard times. This helps to see that the mentioned tribulation is not the time of God’s wrath.
1 Thessalonians 1:10 WEB – …Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 KJV – For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Since the rapture of church happens at the sixth seal of Revelation, we can then deduce that the tribulation/great tribulation initial segment that Jesus describes happens seals one through five.This is long before the wrath and it is before the ‘mark of the beast’ system is mentioned in scripture.
